May 17, 2010 (Cannes, France) Vacheron Constantin available at http://presentwatch.com/vacheron-constantin/index.html, the oldest Swiss watchmaker in continuous activity, partnered with Twentieth Century Fox to sponsor the exclusive after-party for the premiere of Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps at the 62nd annual Cannes Film Festival. Joining the luxury brand were the film’s stars, Michael Douglas, Josh Brolin, Shia LaBeouf, Carey Mulligan and Frank Langella as well as the famed director Oliver Stone. Vacheron Constantin is also featured in the film, as Josh Brolin’s character, Bretton James, wears the exceptional “American 1921” timepiece from the brand’s historical collection, Les Historiques.
The event, which took place immediately following the premiere, was held at the magical Chateau des Fayeres, a beautiful estate located in the rolling hills just outside of the city of Cannes. The guests enjoyed a gorgeous evening, gathering around the estate’s scintillating outdoor pool and dining on a provençal buffet of fresh seafood and grilled meats. The film’s star-studded cast shined as they were welcomed by Vacheron Constantin for the magnificent soiree.
Along with the cast guests mingled with high-profile crowd of attendees including CEO of Google Eric Schimdt, Ellen Berkin, Josh Brolin’s spouse Diane Lane, Bryan Lourd, Richard Lovett, supermodel Karolina Kurkova, and Mansour Ojeih.
Fitting in perfectly with the luxurious surroundings, beautiful Vacheron Constantin timepieces were on display within the estate. Guests were drawn to the magnificent pieces from the brand’s Patrimony Contemporary and Traditional Collections.
The timepiece that Mr. Brolin’s character donned in the film, Les Historiques American 1921, offered not only a glimpse into the making of the film but also the great partnership of Vacheron Constantin and Fox Studios.
