A MARRIAGE OF COMPLICATION AND PLATINUM PURITY

Vacheron Constantin Platinum Malte Chronograph 2006 Collector

The excellence of its technique and its purity of line immediately mark the spirit of the Platinum Malte Chronograph. From dial to case to buckle of the wrist strap, the watchmakers at Vacheron Constantin have chosen to express their craft in that most noble of materials – platinum.

Made in the true tradition of Vacheron Constantin, combining complication and a profound heritage of master-watchmaking, it is equipped with a hand-wound mechanical chronograph movement with traditional column-wheel construction and elaborately decorated parts and a rare platinum dial. A true collector’s watch, this piece is made in a limited edition of just 75 pieces.

THE UNIQUE PLATINUM MALTE CHRONOGRAPH

With its pure platinum micro-grain finished dial this piece reflects the eternal quality and uniqueness of its conception. Superbly readable thanks to the clear graphics of its diverse indications – hour circle with minute and second divisions, telemetric scale based on one kilometer, 30-minute totalizer and subdial for the running seconds – all result in comfortable yet immediate legibility.

Along with its hour, minute and second hands in white gold, and chronograph seconds and 30-minute totalizer hands in blued-steel, the dial features six round hour markers and six Arabic numerals in 18K white gold, all preciously protected by a glare-proofed sapphire crystal.

The caliber 1141 is based on the classic Lemania 2320, for almost two decades now. (Updated by Antonio RS)
