Breguet recently hosted a gala dinner in Bangkok to celebrate the bicentennial of the first wristwatch.

Parallel to a jazz concert, an estimated 150 VIP guests could discover the wonders of the "Reine de Naples" collection, including high jewellery pieces and complicated watches.

Among others, the "Sonnerie au Passage 8978", the first Grande Complication design to the "Reine de Naples" collection, aroused the invitees’ admiration.

This timepiece marks the hours automatically every hour on the hour with two strikes, repeated three times, a charming and discreet way of signaling the passage of time.
