F.P.Journe is launching the new Centigraphe Sport, first ultra light wristwatch ever entirely in aluminium, case, bracelet and movement. It discloses a new time measurement - sportive and exclusive with an authentic high horology movement.
The first Centigraphe Sport timepiece numbered 001 was offered for charity on May 30, 2011 at Christie’s Hong Kong auction by F.P.Journe in favour of the earthquake and tsunami victims in Japan.

It sold for the extraordinary amount of:
HK$ 3,620,000 /US$ 465,170, close to ten times its original estimate.

This fantastic result has allowed financing 7 anti seismic houses for the "100maisons100familles" programme of Foundation de Fère constructing temporary anti-seismic wooden houses to relocate family victims of the earthquake and tsunami in the northern city of Tome, near Sendai, in Japan.
